Freezer Shelf Map

A little help finding dinner.

Email xuxiayu2010@gmail.com. Include the app version, iOS version, device model and the steps that led to the problem. Please omit private photos and food notes unless relevant.

Build your map

Create a freezer, then add bins with names matching your actual baskets, shelves or drawers. Set their numeric map positions from top to bottom. Structured list provides the same navigation without a grid. Open a bin and add a food lot.

Make entry quick

Enter a meal, location, category, whole quantity and unit label such as tubs. Dates can stay unknown. On an existing lot, Duplicate as new batch reuses its descriptive text but asks for the new quantity and dates; it never copies old events as new history.

Find and withdraw

Find a meal sorts by your chosen frozen, cooked or label date. Filter by category and bin. Undated lots appear under Date unknown. Open a lot for Withdraw 1, or Add or withdraw portions to specify a larger amount. Empty lots remain in Finished lots.

Correct a mistake

Use Undo this change in the lot’s history. Undoing an addition is rejected if it would make the balance negative. Moving or renaming a lot keeps its history. Unit edits change a label only, not counts. Settings → Undo last saved change restores the entire previous snapshot; it is available until the next successful save.

Move or delete

Edit a lot to change its bin. Edit a bin to move it to another freezer. A bin or freezer must be empty before it can be deleted. Deleting a lot includes its events and unshared photo; read the confirmation and use the previous-save recovery if needed.

Backup and restore

Settings → Export complete backup saves a .freezermap file containing your data and original photos. Import backup validates the container and shows a preview. Merge adds new lots and keeps existing histories untouched; repeated imports do not double-apply events. Copy intentionally makes separate records. Skip or Cancel changes nothing. Settings restore from a backup only into an empty inventory.

Limits: 10,000 lots, 100,000 events, 40 MB encoded backup, 6 MB and 25 megapixels per JPEG/PNG photo and 25 MB total photo bytes. A failed save reports an error and preserves the last saved state. If a local file is damaged, restore the previous intact save in Settings; never delete your only copy before preserving a backup.

Photos and paper

Select an optional JPEG or PNG using Choose a photo. Take a picture in the Camera app first if needed; the app has no direct camera feature. HEIC and other formats must be exported as JPEG/PNG before selection. Print lets you choose lots, paper contents or batch labels, and optional private fields. Preview before using Share PDF or Print. Labels do not promise alignment with commercial label stock; printer availability depends on your system.

Offline, price and redownload

The inventory, editing, backup generation and PDF generation work offline. Opening support links, downloading the app and some Files/share destinations need a connection. The app is a paid download with all features included, no subscription and no in-app unlock. Redownload through Apple with the purchasing Apple Account. Redownload does not restore local inventory; keep your own backup. Apple handles purchase billing and refund requests.

Food dates

Dates are calendar labels you supply. They do not shift when you travel to another timezone. No safety judgment, expiry estimate, automatic reminder or food identification is provided.
